I am doing a 50th anniversary cake and am fairly new to decorating. Definitely new when it comes to putting fresh flowers on. I need to know how to put the flowers on. Tape the ends? Attach with icing? Don't they wilt? Special flowers? Any information would be great.

wilton.com has little vales that holds water and all you do is push them in the cake don't for get to wash the flowers off real good before you put them on the cake good luck

If you're getting the flowers from a florist, or even if you're doing them yourself, the best method is: cut off the stem, push a wire through the fat green part of the flower, bend the wire back on itself, creating a new stem. Wrap wire with floral tape.

It will take a while.
