My first attempt at cookies covered in flowed royal icing are now drying on the counter. Of course, I need them to harden ASAP. No planning ahead done here! icon_smile.gif

Any harm in putting them in the food dehydrator for a few hours? I used Antonia's royal icing recipe. Heck, I used Antonia's no-fail sugar cookie recipe. Now I just need Antonia and you other cookie experts' expertise!

I've never tried the food dehydrator (and this answer is probably too late for you, since it's the 18th today). But, I know some people put them in a VERY low oven to dry more rapidly...

I've never done it but I can't see putting cookies into a dehydrator as a good thing. It may dry out more than your icing!

Yes, I'd be afraid they would dry out the cookie as well as the icing.

What about using a blowdrier on LOW? I thought about that whenusing mmf to get a smooth finish when they kinda smudged but it was for an order so I just made new ones icon_sad.gif
