I am having a very hard time finding some of the tutorials and the patterns that are avalible on this website. Can anyone tell me how to find them?

Did you check under the "articles" tab? There is a wealth of info on there...

go to the homepage and scroll down,you can see some of them right away and to view the rest click on review all articles or something to that nature.You will figure it out.
