I consider this a disaster, just because I hate how this turned out. I feel awful even having her take the cake, but I didn't know what else to do.

She wanted a bible, and I didn't use a shaped pan, but carved my own. The buttercream went on well, but I couldn't get it nice and smooth as I wanted. I then used a toothpick to make "pages" along the side of the book and then thought I should use gold luster dust to edge the pages and make it look like a real bible. Big mistake. The luster dust went on very unevenly and the dust fell on the black frosting and stuck and I couldn't get it off very well (better than it was, but not great) and unfortunately after I put one side on, I had to do the others to match. I feel bad even making her pay for it as it looks like my 7 year old could have done it, but it will still taste good icon_smile.gif
