Ok, I thought I would ask the best decorator's in the world. I want to make cupcakes shaped like mini gallon paint cans. Any Suggestions? Copcakes pans are tapered so I won't get the cylinder look of a paint can. I thought about making sheet cakes and cutting them into mini circles and stacking them. But then I would have no paper liner around the cakes. How would I go about this? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

IF you did it this way, you could wrap each one in a layer of fondant for the can and wrapper- maybe a grey fondant with a colored label (I can picture it in my head....)

This might even be easier- you could wrap the fondant, then make the "paint can labels with gum paste and dry them on a form to curve, then 'glue' them on.

maybe like this...
