How Are The Stripes On A Madhatter Cake Done?

I'm new to the world of topsy turvy/madhatter cakes and I've always wondered how the stripes on the madhatters are done -- the lines are always soooo straight!! I've attached a pix I found on the internet for you to see. Does anyone know how these are done?

I've done stripes on a MAd HAtter before, but I've never done solid stripes on the entire cake. I figure thats how it was done, but I feel SO much better seeing it done. Thanks for the 411! icon_wink.gif

You know I posted this topic the other day and had NO END of problems (I didn't think it ever did get posted, so imagine my surprise when I stumbled across this thread!) icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif I'll try to repost the madhatter cake pix which evidently did not post correctly. Now I understand these were from the Planet Cake class down under, but not everyone has that advantage (I'm in a different hemisphere for god sakes!!) Hence my question -- how are the stripes done?
