How Do I Make A Gold Fondant Ribbon?

I know how to make the fondant ribbon. I just have never had to make anything gold out of fondant. What do I use? Thanks for all advice!!!

Hi, I would colour the fondant with Americolour Gold colour and then cut the ribbons. And then dry dust them with a gold shade that you like. There are so many shades that you can get. icon_smile.gif

If you don't have access to a cake decorating supply store and Americolor, you can also use Wilton's yellow and then dust it with Wilton's gold dust. It won't be as gold-looking as it would with the other stuff but it will still look like gold.

I like to use Americolor's airbrush metallic colors. I don't have an airbrush so I just apply them with a paintbrush and it works great.

what stores sell this airbrush color?
i need it for this coming monday so i dont think i have time to order it.

Other than online ordering, the airbrush colors can usually be found at a cake decorating store.

Order them at cooksdream.com if you live in the western side of the US.

It will get to you really fast, you can even call and ask the owner to ship it as soon as you place the order.
