Early this morning I finished icing my 3 cakes that were to be placed on the wilton tall tier cake stand after getting them all basically iced and about to go to bed. I realized that the top tier did not have to have the center cut out of it all the way through both tiers!! Soooo I had the top tier looking very pretty with pink icing, but there was a hole out of the center..
To fix the mistake, when I got the cake to my work, I placed flowers in that hole like it was a vase and then placed flowers around those. The cake was for a baby shower, and the co-worker is expecting a girl. It is 3 tiers 2 layers each with white chocolate mousse ganache filling (thanks ladycakes) and the cakes match the color icing. I took pics and when I get home (and get some sleep) I will post them to the site. It turned out really pretty.

Ok, I am still at work, but I am a little more awake to explain the cake.
The top tier was a 6" 2 layer strawberry cake with white chocolate mousse ganache, iced with pink crusting buttercream icing (that had about 1 cup of the mousse mixed into the batch that was 1 1/2 batches of wilton's buttercream icing).
The middle tier was a 8 " 2 layer lemon cake with the same filling, and iced with the same icing but tinted yellow.
The bottom layer was a 12" 2 layer white cake tinted lavander with the same filling, and iced with the same icing but tinted lavander.
There was white and pink spray roses on the cake along with baby's breath, the wilton favor baby bottles, wilton favor babies, wilton favor rattles, wilton favor baby pins, the mini wilton favor rocking horses put onto the cake as well. The top tier had "Congratulations Wendy!" piped onto the side of since the flowers that I had put in and on the cake along with the rocking horses filled out the top of the cake. And the separator plate that the top tier was on had ribbon threaded all the way around. (When I post pictures that description will make more sense.)
I also made a matching corsage for the mom to be with same flowers that were on the cake, and I also glued a bottle and a baby (with floral glue) into the corsage.
I should be able to post some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Here's the links- hope they work, otherwise they are in the Celebration Cake Gallery under Baby Shower album.

I also made a matching corsage for the mom to be, and I had also crocheted a present for her too.
