I am wondering the same question. I don't want to buy the DVD, but I read instructions from a cake decorator who wrote that you have to iron (no steam) with parchment paper on top of transfer paper. I think the DVD mentions a special iron meant for cake use, but I'm not 100% sure. It seems a little complicated.
What I am thinking is to use wafer papers instead. They also come with beautiful prints and are supposed to attach to fondant without using heat. I have never tried it though...
