I have 2 weddings coming up this month. Last time I did a tiered birthday cake, the client called me asking about the "sticks in the cake". I totally for got to tell her about them.

Do you normally tell a customer about the dowels? I am delivering 1 -2 tiered stacked heart shape on Saturday, and another Hexagon stacked grooms cake on the 25th. Should I tell the person at the reception location about them? Or they should know right?b

I always try to remember to tell them about them. Most people really do not know that the cakes need to be "held" together. I have a little statement about them in my contract so it wont be a surprise, but sometimes I do forget to tell them or remind them and they will ask about them. Never had any bad comments, more like surprise, what are these?? LOL!!
Have a great day,
