Okay I am making a cake for nephews birthday party Barnyard theme I am making a sculpted barn and want to put it on a sheet cake I know that I have to use a pound cake for the barn and dowls to support it, My question is does the sheet cake have to be a pound cake also Being it is on the bottom?

not really meme.. that's your choice really .. if it's a large sheet cake, if it were more dense, you'd have less chance of it breaking .. however, if you support it when flipping it out, you shouldn't have a problem icon_smile.gif

Meme I did something similar. You can see it in my photos. The building was on a board with thin fiberboard under that supported on dowels. The porch roof was on a piece of cake board and the posts were dowels going to the lower board. Incidentally the whole building and roof was just cake mix cakes. The base was 2 1/2 sheet cake mix cakes.
