Multiple Person B-Day Cake - Need Asap
Decorating By myriam1 Updated 17 Jan 2007 , 1:39am by myriam1
How about gathering digital pics. of each of those people (easy enough to do) and putting them on a sheet cake (frosting sheets, if you have the printer). And simply piping borders around the pics, then writing on them?
Each month would be a bit different because some would have more than others depending on how many birthdays there were.
They could even be fun, playful pictures... or pics. of them at their desks. Maybe assign a person to get these pics. for you at the office.
Just a thought....
What about decorating with flowers associated with each month:
January - Carnation or Snowdrop
February - Violet or Primrose
March - Jonquil or Daffodil
April - Sweet Pea or Daisy
May - Lily of the Valley or Hawthorn
June - Rose or Honeysuckle
July - Larkspur or Waterlily
August - Gladiolus or Poppy
September - Aster or Morning Glory
October - Calendula or Cosmos
November - Chrysanthemum
December - Narcissus or Holly
I had the birthday cake contract at my office and I just put "Happy (Month) Birthdays". The girl who coordinated this brought me a list of something like 30 names to see if I wanted to put them on the cake each month, and I told her she couldn't afford me if she wanted all those names on there. It was a pretty big office ..... between 200 and 300 people.
You can see a couple of samples in my photos. "October Birthdays", "January Birthdays" and "Basket of Flowers sheet cake".
I can't do the flower thing because they are all male. I've only done 2 other cakes for this company and so far I've done party hats made out of ice cream cones and cupcakes on top of a sheet cake with little faces and each individual's name. It has to be a sheet cake so I can't do the brownie thing or anything for the actual individual. I can't do the pics because I have no time and its not for my own job - so not on a personal level with them. Any more ideas? ![]()
