A cake shaped like a car is a lot of work, but doable. You will be baking several layers of cake and stacking them together with frosting. Then you will sculpt the cake from that big block of cake. Then you crumb coat and frost to look like a car.

If that sounds like too much, you could always make a nice sheet cake and do what is called a buttercream transfer. Basically, you get a coloring page or picture of this car and trace it with a black frosting or gel. Then you chill the outline and fill with colored frosting as you need. The frozen decoration can then be applied to your frosted cake.

Look up instructions on this site for buttercrem transfers.
