Help!....wedding Cake Tier Missing Something..

So this is my cake from hell... nothing is working out for me... first topsy turvy and I did everything wrong...

Anyway... the 2nd tier needs something... it looks plain, but at the same time, I dont want to do anymore to this cake... I just HATE it.

Anyone have any suggestions, or should I just leave it alone.

Maybe something to match the bottom tier.

Either a traingle design out of the the 3 dots in varying sizes all the way around or maybe the same as the bottom tier all the way around.

You could repeat the same pattern that you have on the bottom tier? I think you did a good job, too, especially for being your first topsy-turvy cake. And I like the colors - very striking. icon_smile.gif

Yeah.....work the dots in somehow...that expanse of white looks a little bare.

if I did the dots and followed the bottom angle, Would that look funny?

Not at all! I think it would just add to the illusion of being topsy turvy perfectly!

I don't think it would look funny......i wonder if it would look cool if you did the dots and followed the top though??

I definitely think you should repeat the dots.....the first pic is the dots reversed and on the top border....the second pic is the dots repeated and on the bottom. Maybe this will help you?

Nice!

I am wondering too, maybe a flower on the left top of the larger striped tier, and then a couple flowers on the baseboard to the right.... that might also accentuate the topsy turvy as well as dress up the white tiers.

Thanks for the suggestions... I am going with the dots... But as much as I like the dots on the top, I think I have to put them on the bottom. There is such a huge gap at top, that I think it would look funny. It looks good done by computer, but i dont think it will have the same effect.
