I'm new to cake decorating (I've been taking courses) and my friend wants me to make her a cake for her son's 1st birthday! I am excited to do this!

She told me there will be approx. 30 adults and 6 children. I've been checking different cake servings charts online. I wanted to ask if you think a 10" and 6" (both 3" deep with a filling) would be sufficient?

Thanks for your help!!

I think that will be enough if the person cutting the cake doesn't go crazy with the slices! I've seen some massive chunks of cake being served. I like to include a cutting and serving chart so that people know how to cut the cake to get the required number of servings. That way nobody complains that you didn't make enough cake! icon_smile.gif
