Do you included the cake board with the cake or do you ask for it to be returned! Just curious

I always include my basic cake boards. I did a "male anatomy" cake once and made a custom base for it...it was for a friend and so I felt comfortable asking her to return it if she didn't mind. I don't know if I would have requested so otherwise though, I probably would have just let it go.

Mine are always wrapped in a think alum foil like the floriest use. So if it's someone I'm close to I tell them if they can remember to save it for me I can re-use it.

If you aren't sure what to do, just include the board in the price of the cake. If the cake is a freebie, then by all means ask for it back.
