Johnny The Tractor (Or Any Tractor)
Decorating By sweetcakesbydesign Updated 13 Jun 2009 , 11:02am by Reimagining_Confections
I would llike to carve a tractor small enough to put on a regular sized sheet cake, but i've never carved anything before. Does anyone have any instructions on how to do this? Do you freeze the pre-layered cake?
Thanks
You could freeze the cake( cake needs to be firm and dense is better for carving). Freezing it(or at least chilling) will do that a bit. Pound cakes or any other dense cakes are best for carving. Depending on the size you are trying to achieve, gumpast/fondant figure or RKT covered figure might work better for you.
Good luck and please post pics when you are done. Sounds cute!
