I have an order for 35 2x2x2 baby blocks this month and they just want the ABC's and 123's on them. I couldn't decide if I should frost them in buttercream or poured fondant. I went with buttercream on this one and it really wasn't too bad. The cake is strawberry but I think I will use a pound cake for the actual order.

Just wondering what you all thought??

Thanks!

I think it looks cute. Do they want all the same?

I don't think they care if they are all the same or not. It's a baby shower tea party so everything is small.

i think they're really cute icon_smile.gif i would personally use a smaller border though, just my preference. maybe you could switch up the colors for variety like throw in some yellow here and there and purple or something of course that might be more work icon_sad.gif

Your block is pretty cute. Personally I love baby blocks with the huge letters and numbers and mixed colors. i think it makes them look more like the little toys.

They are really cute. I pesonally would choose straight lines for the border.

I think either way would work well. Personally, I would cover in fondant and put a worm like string instead of the piping.

i agree with rylan...i would use the straight flat side of a basket weave tip for the boarders. definatley make the boarder thick like you did here and use larger numbers and letters. it will give them more of the toy look. you are on the right path!
