I am having trouble makig leaves. I cannot get a point at the end of the leaf. Do you have any suggestions?

are you talking for gumpaste or piping with Buttercream or Royal icing? for gumpaste, you would just need a specific Cutter, that had a pointed end if thats what your after.

If your using buttercream...the #352 [ sort of a V cut tip] will give you nice pointed ends. http://www.bakingshop.com/bc/item/dct-352.htm comes in a couple of differnt sizes 349 350. You can also make your own by making a parchment paper bag and flattening the point and cutting a v shape in the end to what ever size you like.
