i am making Indydebi's Crisco-Based Buttercream Icing and i am running out of crisco...can i use my alpine high ratio instead of the crisco??

yes...I have been told that you can sub the shortenings.
You should try sending a pm to Indydebi. I think the hi ratio shortening absorbs a lot more powdered sugar than most other recipes that don't use hi ratio so I'm not sure that you can really substitute one for the other without making some other adjustments.
