After reading a ton here: I have baked four WASC cakes, made MMF, a new butter cream and am ready to experiment...

Can someone tell me the best way to construct turtle figurines? I'm guessing gumpaste is the way to go. But do I make the gumpaste or buy it? How do I color it?

Dabear has some posted in the pics section that are very nice - is she still on here?

Hi, I would use 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant. Here is step-by-step, but not sure whether its the one you are looking for!

I can't believe it but I actually made the turtle to resemble the picture icon_smile.gif
