Hey Everyone.

I am making a cake with a dexter theme for a friend's birthday party. I attached the picture of my sketch. I need to find out how to make edible plastic wrap that I can wrap around the cake. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for you help!

You could use clear gelatin sheets...or make gelatin mixture and pour it onto silpat and let it set and then it will be pliable to wrap around the cakes...

A Silpat is a silicone nonstick baking mat that has glass fibers in it. They are expensive but are awesome. So much better than plain silicone baking mats or parchment paper in my opinion. You can find them at Bed Bath & Beyond for about $15-$20.

Chck out this thread. It has instructions to make gelatin bows, as well as photos of the bows. Sounds like that technique will work for what you want to do.
