I am making fondant decorations for cupcakes. When you do this, do you let them air dry or keep them soft? They're not intended to be eaten, as there will be buttercream underneath them, but I'm not sure which I should do?
I've done both. If they are complicated with lots of pieces and details I make them then let them dry then place on top of the cupcake. They can still be eaten. I always put them on top of buttercream.
