I am doing my first wedding cake in about 25 years for a friends wedding next saturday. Nothing fancy. it is a two tiered cake with a nine incha nd six inch cake. each cake has three layers with a filling of lemon and a filling of raspberry.
For the frosting, I am doing bettercreme as she did not want anything too sweet. I bought the big tub of bettercreme from sams, so I have plenty to practice with. My question is, how do I get the bettercreme to have a smooth surface? I have tried, and its not coming out as smooth as I would like. I figure someone out there can give me some tips. thanks

If you go to youtube and search " how to ice a cake" , there are several videos you can watch. They helped me out a lot. I still haven't perfected that art either. I think it just takes a lot of practice.

Also there is a article on this website that shows you there way of doing it. It always look so much easier when someone else is frosting the cake! icon_biggrin.gif
