What Do You Use For Cake Supports???

i was just wondering what everyone out there uses for cakes supports. i have used the wood dowels in the past and dont really like them. if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them......thanks!

I use bubble tea straws. I used to use dowels and never had a problem, but I like being able to cut the straws with scissors.
