I have the Wilton 28 deco tip set. Should I use a #2 or #4 tip to out line the edge of my sugar cookies in RI? What should I use to flood the cookie?

I use a different icing, but this is what I do: I outline larger areas with a #4, smaller areas with a #2. As soon as I pipe the line around the area I want to ice, I fill in with more icing in a zig zag pattern. I then use a tapered off-set spatula to smooth out the icing over that entire area. Any imperfections in the icing will settle out as the icing sits.
