I've got a bride that wants spice cake and I'm thinking a cream cheese filling would be good with it. Does anyone have any other ideas? The bride doesn't know what she wants so I thought I'd give her a few options to taste.

Any suggestions?

With spice cake, I've used (with good results): apple butter, apple pie filling, pistachio pudding, and vanilla buttercream. icon_smile.gif hth

cream cheese would be really good, apple pie filling, even both together...mmm....maple cream cheese, cream cheese with fresh ginger...

I use cream cheese but the apple butter sounds yummy to me also. I also like pumpkin mixed in with a cream cheese.

Maple Cream, Vanilla Bean Mousse, Cinnamon BC, Apple Pie Filling, Pumpkin Butter, Apple Butter, Pumpkin Mousse, Cream Cheese....

just had a thought come to me that honey might be good with spice - thinking tea with honey - maybe a honey flavored mousee of some type?

Thanks for all the great ideas everyone!

I should have posted my question earlier so I could use some of them for her tasting. I went with a plain cream cheese filling but she loved it.

I will definately try some of these in the future.
