Is that a violation of child labor laws?
Cute story:
I was trying to take advantage of the last bit of daylight a little bit ago and went out to water our flowers. When I came in, I heard my daughter talking on my cell phone. As it turns out, while I was outside my MOB for this weekend called to make sure all was a go. Here's how it went:
MOB: Can I speak to April?
DD: She's outside.
MOB: I need to speak with her about our wedding cake.
DD: Oh, ok...what color would you like?
MOB: <laughing> I believe I'll just call her back in a little bit.
DD: That'll be fine. Thanks for calling.
I got such a kick out of that. I thought you would too.
That is too cute! It sounds like you're training her well, no need to hire an assistant, you already have one!

That reminds me of my 8 year old. I run a business out of my home where I provide birthday party loot bags, balloons, decorations, etc. for kids parties. I went to pick my daughter up from school the other day and I heard her talking to a friend of hers whose birthday was coming up. My daughter was telling her that she should get her Mom to call me and I could "take care of everything" for her party. I had to smile!
That is too cute! My daughter is 6 and she is always "volunteering" my services! Every party she goes to she always says.. that cake is not as good as my moms. Did you buy that at Walmart???? haha
My children are older 7-17 (5 total) they are all promoting me in some way. I have children from the elementary telling me what they would like its very precious.
Oh wow I thought I was the only one with a kid that done stuff like this....I had just ordered some new cards and noticed about 200 missing from the brand new box come to find out she took them to school and gave one to each of the 5th graders in the school plus everyone of the teachers...when I found out I was like oh God people are gonna think im horrible but then the next day I got a call from one of the moms who had gotten a card from her kid and she thought it was hilarious...I have gotten tons of orders from those cards though...lol
