I would like to make some characters that stand up i was going to use rice paper trace and coler with ediable pens and then adhere it to fondent.

* Will this work and will it look ok?

* If I am unable to find rice paper is there something else I could use that maybe eiser to find?

* Is there a better way to do this?

I've done characters directly on gumpaste and either stood them up or attached to a stick and stood them up. I've colored with edible markers, layers of fondant and also painted with the food color gel. Hope this helps.

Did you free hand the pictures? If that is the case my drawing is about as good as my 7yr olds!!
