I am looking for a recipe for a cookie I believe is called a vanilla cookie. They sell them in the grocery store. They are light, kinda fluffy and very soft and they usually frost and sprinkle them. The cookie is not sweet at all, so I don't think it would be a sugar cookie.

The kind that are sort-of cakey? I LOVE those, I'm sure there is a recipe on CC someplace

I think you are looking for "lofthouse" cookies... there is a recipe on here, but it is not highly rated... Maybe try it and if it's no good google for another...
