I was at Michael's yesterday and I saw a nail kit. It was plastic. It included a cupcake nail which was claimed to help you make a cupcake swirl. Its the same idea as a flower nail except it was larger to fit a standard cupcake and had a bit of a lip around the edge.
Anyone have it? Find it useful? Or is it just expensive clutter/junk? (It was $11.99 Canadian dollars)
I just saw that the other day too. It doesn't seem that useful to me, because you'd have to put the piping bag down to put another cupcake on the nail. I don't really turn the cupcake either, I move my arm. All I do is the big swirl kind, maybe the nail is for making flowers on a cupcake.
Cupcake nail ???????? oh my what won't Wilton do next for a buck?? And I thought the pre-cut flower squares were bad enough!

I saw the squares too. $3.50 for 50. I'll happily cut my own.
