I know this is a cake site... but.. has anyone ever done the apples before.. I am to do 50 of them tomorrow.. covered in caramel then chocolate.. anyone have any tips...
Yes, you can melt chocolate (bags from Michael's or any cake store) in a double broiler, stick your stick in to your washed and dried apple. Dip your apple in to chocolate and place on wax paper to set for a bit until it dries hard you can place in box or bag after it's real dry. Forgot, if you need to add peanuts do it right after you remove from chocolate. As for caramel it's the same thing except that comes melted and ready to use, I've only used grocery brand then added nuts.....my favorite. You know that's sounds so good right now.
