Red Roses Help

i need to make deep red roses, I'd started to make pink ones. the bride want's to go with red instead. how do i get roses to look that deep red? I need help. not sure about petal dust either. icon_surprised.gif

Hi, can't you get already coloured red gumpaste? I did some roses and I used already coloured ones.

the lesson from this is to add a line in your contract 'no changes to be made after X date, x weeks before cake is due'.
you may be able to dust the pink ones with red, but maybe not. you might just need to start over. you will be able to colour gumpaste, but its often easier to buy the dark colours.

If you have some powdered red coloring it works well. Then add black, a tiny bit at a time, until you get the color you want. Let it set over night for the color to fully develop. thumbs_up.gif
