Just wondering if I am the only one that does not like the flavor of the creme bouquet? I just for the first time watched the video and made Sugar Shacks butterceam frosting. It just is not what I think of for frosting. Am I crazy or just have not tasted enough gourmet frostings?
In all posts I have read, it seems everyone here just loves it. HELP!!!
Thanks for the input.

Sorry. I personally LOVE creme bouquet. And whenever I use it to flavor my buttercream it gets rave reviews. Last time I made buttercream I was out of creme bouquet so I decided to try my Princess emulsion and it didn't go over quite as well. I have an entire bottle of Princess and I don't want to use it.
I thought sugarshack used wedding bouquet not creme bouquet?
Yes, Sharon does use wedding bouquet. It is different than creme bouquet.

I don't like it. I think it is too citrusy (is that a word?) I like more buttery,and/or liqueur flavors
I also don't really care for the wedding bouquet. I guess I am crazy!
Now I am curious too. What is the difference between creme and wedding bouquet? Anyone?
I've never tried the wedding bouquet. My local cake shop only carries creme bouquet, as far as I can tell anyways. I'd be curious to learn the difference too.
I'd also like to know what the difference in taste is between creme bouquet and wedding bouquet.
Wedding bouquet is used by Sharon Zambito.. aka sugarshack. It's more almondy than creme bouquet.. which is more citrusy. You can guy it at GSA. Besides that, it's only sold at her local cake shop in Louisiana because it's homemade by a lady their. No one knows what exactly is in it as the lady keeps it a secret ![]()
This is gonna hurt somebody's feelings, but....
I think creme bouquet is absolutely nasty & disgusting. The one time I had icing that was made with it and I was told what it was, was when I realized that THAT was the flavor I've tasted in every grocery store cake I've ever had in my life. I would hardly call it gourmet

ETA: I posted in response to OP's original Q, w/o reading the rest of the thread. I have never had wedding bouquet. HAGD! ![]()

I've used both creme and wedding bouquet in frosting and had postive feedback for both. I use Princess Cake to "dress up" a yellow cake mix- I add a teaspoon each of Princess and good quality vanilla and replace the oil with butter. The cake comes out moist, with a slightly citrus flavor that my family loves. It's worth a try. ![]()

I love emulsions and use Creme Bouquet quite alot as well as Princess, Butavan and some others. The key to using them is you need to use alot less than you would an extract, they are very strong and can easily overpower.
I think the key with emulsions is you want subtle, underlying flavor, not in your face. I have added too much before and that was NOT good!
For flavoring for Sugarshack's icing...I use 2T vanilla, and 1 3/4t almond and 1 1/4 t butter. Love it.
Wedding bouquet is a secret recipe made here by a local lady but sold on a couple of places online and direclty from her.
IMO it is liquid heaven, a perfect balance of "stuff" you can add to icings, batter, cookies, muffins.
It def has almond, so make sure you like almond before you try it. I suspect it also has butter, vanilla, some citrus in there and who knows what else.
I adore it.
I just purchased the CK Creme Bouquet. I thought it smells like it is just vanilla and lemon extracts toether, perhaps with a touch of butter. I was going to use it for a bridal shower cake next week, but after reading these reviews, I think I'll wait until I have time to test it first.
I have both CK and Magic Line cream bouquets. The CK one is notably more citrus and the Magic Line is more neutral and vanilla. I agree that the CK its strong and it is nice added as a base 1/2 -1/2 with lemon extract to make a nice lemon or is makes a very sophisticated vanilla cake for grown up pallets with a great citrus undertone. And the Magic Line one is fantastic as a base for vanilla cake.
I really want to try the wedding bouquet to see how it compares. I was told it was more a vanilla, butter, almond with a hint of cherry.
What is the Princess?
Don't add these to a chocolate cake mix. I know citrus and chocolate go great but not this way. LOL
