Ok I need an honest opinion from someone (my mom just isnt doing it)..I am doing a baby girl shower for this weekend..i have made a duck for the top of the cake (it's my first time doing a duck that's more "animated"), what you think of it?? I am pretty big newbie and if there is anything i can do to improve I would love any helpful hints! (i wont be hurt by anything anyone says)

It's adorable! I think your cake will be the talk of the shower since I'm sure your cake will be great based on this little portion. 
Only tip, although I don't think it needs it, would be maybe add a dot of white royal icing to the blue of the eye (like a reflection?). Good luck!
Awwww...I really think he's perfectly cute! I might just add small black dots near the center bottom of the blue part of his eyes so he looks "focused" - right now he seems like he's got cataracts? LOL. Other than that, seriously cute and I wouldn't change a thing...great job by the way!

give the eyes some black pupils, maybe make him look to the side, it will definitly improve his expression, apart from that I think he looks cute!!!
