My question is this, can the figurines that are made out of fondant or gum paste be kept or will they deteriorate? Will they draw insects? I had someone ask this.

They should be fine. I have gumpaste dogwood and roses that are glued to a picture frame. It has been three years and they are as good as new. I think moisture and direct sunlight are probably the things to stay away from.

I havent had any problems with bugs. But I havent had mine for very long. I know dummy cakes (covered styrofoam) dont draw bugs. Maybe somelse knows more.

in air conditioning the gumpaste will last a little longer. in humid climates they will soften and droop. guessign the same for the fondant.
