Royal Icing Leaves???

My sister and I are making a wedding cake for a friend. She wants black flowers with silver leaves. We are making royal icing flowers but I don't know how to pull off silver leaves. Can I make them from royal icing?

Is it possible to make Royal Icing leaves without them falling flat?

It is possible to make royal icing leaves....but they don't do well if you paint them with silver. I recommend you make the leaves out of fondant or gumpaste.
