Hello everyone!

First off, I'm new around here..so HI!

Ok, my wifes birthday is coming up in 2 months. I want to make a cake for her, but I'm not sure what "theme" to use. I know it will be purple, thats too easy. However, a good them escapes me. Shes going to be 32, so Its not a "monument" birthday if you will.

Doing my kids cakes is easy, they are...well...kids. However, my wife is a little tougher.

I know I didnt give any real info...but...any ideas?

Ok...just thought about this...

Lily's! Shes loves them!

Now..I've made roses before..but never a lily.

Ideas?

What kind of personality does she have...is she funky, casual, elegant, romantic? Does she like flowers? What is her hobby?

I would call her "quirky", fun loving, pretty easy going. Yes, she likes flowers, dragons, marilyn monroe...among other things

My vote is for a purple dragon laying in a field of lilies. I've never made a lily before either, and I'm not very good at fondant figures so I'm not much help on the directions for either. I just liked the idea.

What a terrific hubby you are!! can you be cloned? LOL

You didn't specify which lily's she likes. there are several types such as tiger and calla's. Calla's are really easy to make.

Well, if I can manage to make a dragon...the dragon in a filed of lillies sounds perfect!

As far as a favorite lilly...it dont matter
