A friend requested the chocolate cake about half way down the page

They want to place an actual photo on top of the diploma.
How should I make the diploma? Fondant/gumpaste? Or just use a sheet of parchment? Any ideas?

I would use gumpaste so that it hardens completely to stand up with a block of gumpaste behind it to hold it up, sort of like an easel
