Okay....Do you put the wrapper around the cupcake before or after you swirl the icing ontop and decorate the cupcake?

I have done it both ways, but for me, putting the wrapper on after the decorations have set works best. Here are the results. Enjoy!

OMG Sweetsuccess, that butterfly is out of this world beautiful!!!! I love the cupcake wrapper. I have been looking at them and have been trying to convince myself that they were worth the money considering they are pretty pricey. What do your clients think? Also, any chance you would share your secrets to such a beautiful butterfly? TIA!

sweetsuccess - your cupcake is beautiful, yes, if you will, do tell how to make the butterfly

As always, if you ask two people how to do it you get two answers icon_lol.gif

I put the wrapper on first, then I don't smear the swirl, ask me how I know I will...

I also make my own wrappers. Of course, they are not as precisely cut as the ones you buy, but they don't cost much to make, and I think they really add to the finished product.
