The first time in a year! I wake up to see my fondant cake with a blow-out on the side. Cracked, bulging fondant... I removed fondant, removed most of buttercream and added another thin layer of buttercream in it's place. I've now got the cake covered in fondant again and am redecorating. My question is this: Am I going to be ok to deliver the cake to the customer today or should I hold it over night? Will the blowout happen again? Cake was baked Thursday morning, filled Thursday at noon and then fondant covered at 7-8pm. I usually let them sit overnight, but felt 6 hours was probably equal to overnight. Thank you!
only the Lord in heaven knows. It go either way. Blow outs are truyl evil things. Good luck.
