Okay, is Glucose the same thing as corn syrup?

sort of. its about as close as you can get, although sometimes you can use golden syrup instead of corn syrup too.

If a recipe calls for glucose, you can boil corn syrup for a few minutes until it becomes thick. That seems to work for me.
