How do I make that little girl on a stick? I am wanting to put her on top of a cake for a girls first birthday. How exactly do I do it? Do I paint her, how? Do I pipe her, how? I am really stumped on this one. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am fairly new to cake decorating so take my advise with a grain of salt. To me the little girl and the purse/bag look like they are a flat piece of fondant/gumpaste. I would make a fondant/gumpaste piece shaped like the little girl in the skin tone and then use edible pens to draw in the hair and clothes. I think you can also use edible dust to color it in but I do not know how to use that.

I agree with pp. Gumpaste or fondant flat, cut out in shape and color in and outline with edible markers. I did max & ruby (a kids show) for my nephew. I will try to attach it.
