Does anyone have an idea on how to color buttercream for a guitar that is a red mahogany? Also... do I color the buttercream or airbrush somehow? Please help if you can. I'm making 2 different electric guitars for my friends twin boys next week. Thanks.

I have made a couple of guitar cakes. Start out with (dark) chocolate icing & add red Americolor. I discovered too late (my 1st time) that red color takes about 24 hrs to fully develop to that rich shade you want so I suggest making the icing early. I didn't airbrush so I don't know about that
