I'd come help if I was closer!! But I have no doubt you can knock those out in no time!! I'd love to see a pic of that many cookies stacked though,
If any get broken my tummy will be happy to help! GOOD LUCK to ya get some rest when you can : )
I am sure you can do it. I am sure you will be tired. You may just be all covered in chocolate before it's over. . I am 3 hours away, if I leave now I will be there your time around 10. I can help. Should have offered earlier huh? We have a type of event like that here too. It is to benefit United Way of Cool Springs. It is where a lot of the local restaurant's, bakeries and caterers bring samples of food to the Cool Springs Mall and people pay to go graze for a few hours. I went last year and it was great. Lots of food. The event is happening again tomorrow night. Good luck.
Maybe Edna will loan you *Chocolate man* to help out.......he loves to get his fingers into some chocolate and he's pretty easy on the eyes too!
BTW......just looked at the pic's of these and they look delicious, makes me want to open that bag of Oreos that are calling me and melt some chocolate to dip them in.
Taking a break to do taxes. (Sales taxes are due tomorrow.) I'm using the Spinning Leaf molds, so this really isn't messy at all. And keeping the chocolate liquid in a crock pot set on low.
The cookies are for Tuesday night. But I have to work for the city all day on Monday.
And no, they're not finished yet.
Guests to take care of in the B&B and these #$^@#$ taxes.
Gotcha. For some reason, I was thinking it was for tonight. I must have read too many threads! Good luck with everything! We know you can do it!
leah,
How are you doing? We are worried about you, darned old sales taxes. Hope your event goes well on Tuesday. I say if you don't get enough cookies made then "first come, first served . . ." everyone else just too bad.
Just got back!
Yes, I did make 65 dozen chocolate covered "chocolate sandwich cookies" since Friday.
I also bought a domain, designed and launched a website for the cookies.
Also designed a biz card, emailed the file to FedEx Kinko's and had them overnight print and make biz cards.
Went out and bought table decor.
The event (a charity fundraiser for Dare to Care) ran from 5:30 - 8:30.
My DD and SIL helped work my table.
We ran out of cookies at 7:15.
Gotta go transfer pics off the camera.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR SUPPORT. DD even said, "You've got to report back to your friends on the cake chat!"
Well done, leahs! Very impressive, but then again, this may be just a fairly normal weekend for you?
Btw, I visited your Gallery House website, and all I can say is...I SOOOO want to come stay at your B&B!!! I think I'm going to start planning this year's September wedding anniversary...KY here we come!
