I have a wedding cake coming up that I am going to put dots on. Would the dots look better doing them with royal icing instead of buttercream? Thanks.

Hi, are you going to cover the cakes with fondant? If so, royal icing dots works well. If you are covering the cakes with buttercream, I would go for buttercream dots. icon_smile.gif

I recently made a cake that had little tiny white dots on the design. I didn't want to make a whole batch of royal icing (it was on a fondant background) so I used super white chocolate. Worked great. I wish I had thought about using white chocolate before when I made a whole batch of royal icing for something teeny tiny. I find it much eaiser to store the white chocolate than make a batch of RI.
