baking at the beach,

Do you find that the 8mm is big enough to cover up any space between the cakes when you stack them?

Got any pointers in using the fi mold that has the small ones I believe it is the 4, 5, 6mm because I had an awful time with them when I tried they kept breaking apart when I would unmold them even after watching tonedna's video on you tube????

Look at my photos, all the pearls are 8mm. If Im using buttercream, after I stack them I seal the edges with buttercream using a round tip and my sm angled spatula then viva it. For fondant, if you use the sps there isnt that pig of a space so the pearls fit well.

I LOVE the CK pearl makers, they give you a fully round pearl. The first Impression ones give you 1/2 a pearl. I only use my pearl clay in these molds.... works fantastic.

Here's what they look like: (Jennifer icon_smile.gif

Jennifer,

Just talking to you cleared up my pearl anxiety! I posted this before I talked to you. After that I was set. You are the greatest!

I have just tried today, the Sunflower Art brand, (pink).... Maybe I am missing something but it is SOOOOOOO stiff. I can barely get the rope in there, and definately cannot get it open wide enough to take it out... It is a two man job....

Any way to fix this, or am I stuck with a dud?
