Help With Pound Cake.......

I found a good recipe for a pound cake ..it calls for a bunt pan or tube pan.....can I use a regular round cake pan instead if I want to make a wedding or birthday cake....

My wedding cake was pound cake.

Just use the Wilton cake preparation charts to give you a starting point for how much batter you'll need by pan size:

I bake pound cakes in every shape pan I have. I think the reason a recipe will tell you which pan to use is because they have predetermined the amount it will make and the cook time/temp when they penned down the recipe. The "Gibson wedding cake" in my photos was all pound cake.
