My best friends birthday is Wednesday and I want to make him a cake...and I'm drawing a complete blank!

He loves chocolate so I was thinking of using the chocolate version of the WASC cake. Any suggestions on fillings/frostings? I would prefer to use buttercream frosting. The only thing he doesn't like is coconut.

This will be the first time I've made a cake for him and his coworkers, so it has to be super impressive/professional looking icon_wink.gif

Thanks everyone for your help!!

The Darn Good Chocolate Cake in the recipe section is great. It bakes so nice too. I made 1 10" round cake with it. Does he like fruit? You could fill with a fruit or a vanilla custard to cut some of the chocolate a bit. Or, get some cheesecake flavor Jello pudding mix and beat it with 2 cups heavy cream for a tasty filling.
