Adding To Sam's Buttercream For A Filling?

Has anyone added stuff to the Sam's buttercream to make a filling? I will be making a chocolate cake and I was wondering if I could make the filling a little different than the icing by adding something. I was thinking about mini chocolate chips, but if anyone has any ideas, it would be great, also for other flavors of cakes as well.

You can add most anything to butter creams. Choco chips would be fine if that's what you need.

I did. I just added almond extract to mine though. But it made it taste much better. I love almond with chocolate as well.

I'm just now trying to learn about store bought buttercream, for those times I can't make my own. So I'm just tagging along to learn about filling variations icon_smile.gif
